1 Red Powder

yttrium oxide: Europium(Ⅲ)

Y2O3:Eu3+, white powder, with a relative density of 5.05, belonging to cubic crystal system, work effectively under the excitation of  

253.7nm uv and cathode ray. It gives out orange-red fluorescence, with narrowband emission spectra at a main peak of 611nm. The chromaticity coordinate x=0.651,y=0.346, quantum efficiency of powder 84%, excited light reflectance 0.233, monochromatic fluorescent lamp efficiency 73.21m/W.

MgAl11O19:Ce3+,Tb3+,chromaticity coordinate x=0.328,y=0.594.

3 Blue Powde

Chlorine calcium borate: Europium(Ⅱ)

Ca2B5O9Cl:Eu2+ , white powder, with a relative density of 2.11, work effectively under the excitation of 253.7nm uv and cathode ray. It gives out blue fluorescence. Wavelength of laser peak is 445 nm, half width 42 nm. Color coordinate x=0.147,y=0.041.

The blend powder system is made into slurry, coating the inner wall of low-voltage fluorescent lamp to make a trichromatic fluorescent lamp. It has different characteristics compared to general fluorescent lamp, such as: high brightness, efficiency 90—100 lm/W, wide range

of color temperature, higher color rendering index Ra 80 in general, slow luminous decay, long life and energy-saving.

Trichromatic phosphors are widely used in compacted energy saving fluorescent lamps, because of its strong capability against high energy 185nm uv and high heat stability of keeping high brightness around 120°C.
